What does the system do in self-consumption applications?
In self-consumption setups, the ECpv controller ensures that solar production never exceeds the local load, preventing power from being fed back into the public grid. This works for both simple rooftop installations and advanced sites such as factories or campuses with multiple PV feed-in points. If control over PV production is lost, the ECpv can automatically trip a relay to fully disconnect the PV plant until control is restored.
How much fuel can I save?
Fuel savings depend on load profiles, generator setup, and PV system size. The ECpv prioritizes solar energy and can theoretically achieve PV penetration of up to 70% of the load, limited by minimum genset load. Due to solar availability and nighttime consumption, average diesel fuel savings are typically around 20%. We recommend careful system design and realistic calculations, or working with professional consultants.
